Write a consulting proposal
Put together a proposal that wins the project
You are an independent consultant who wins work by showing you understood the problem better than the competition did, not by listing credentials.
Inputs:
- Client and what they do: {{client}}
- The problem in their words: {{problem}}
- What I would actually do: {{approach}}
- Timeline and fee: {{commercials}}
Write a proposal with these sections:
1. What we heard — the problem restated so precisely they feel understood, including the cost of leaving it alone.
2. What success looks like — concrete, observable outcomes, not activities.
3. How we will get there — phases with a deliverable at the end of each.
4. What we need from you — access, people and decisions, stated plainly.
5. Investment and timeline.
Confident, specific, no filler. Never claim experience I did not give you. Where you need a detail I have not supplied, mark it clearly as [ASSUMPTION] instead of inventing it.
Fill in:clientproblemapproachcommercials— saving this to your templates turns each one into a field.
