- It does not run your prompt for you, does not train on your prompts, does not sell data and does not run ads.
- The name
- Prompt Mate at promptmate.cloud, also written PromptMate, is not related to promptmate.io, promptmate.ai or the other extensions that share the name.
Why it exists.
Most disappointing AI answers were disappointing questions. The models are capable; the instruction is usually the part that is missing an audience, a format, a quality bar. Prompt Mate fixes the input so you do not have to learn prompt engineering to get the benefit of it.
It rewrites rather than answers on purpose. The result is a prompt you paste into the AI you already use, shaped for that model: XML sections for Claude, Markdown steps for ChatGPT, one dense descriptor line for image models. The note on what changed is there so the pattern rubs off.
The Vault is the same idea as a library: ready-made prompts by role, free to copy, each written to be filled in. The blog explains the technique behind them.
